|As part of the EU's non-recognition policy of the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by the Russian Federation, Crimean entities are not eligible to participate in Erasmus+, the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport.|
In recent months, the education landscape in Crimea has experienced substantial changes. Several higher education institutions (HEIs) known to Ukrainian authorities have been reorganised and became de facto either part of larger entities created by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation or branches of Russian institutions.
Any HEI or other type of organisation established in the territory of Crimea - its main cities including Sevastopol, Simferopol, Kerch, Yevpatoria, Yalta, Feodosia, Dzhankoy, Alushta, Bakhchisaray, Krasnoperekopsk, Saky, Armyansk, Sudak, Bilohirsk, Shcholkine, Inkerman, Stary Krym, Alupka – continue to be ineligible under Erasmus+.
Please consult the non-exhaustive list of ineligible HEIs in Crimea.
